Jewellery
made from Sterling Silver is at least 92.5 % pure silver and 7.5%
other metals - typically copper. Pure silver is alloyed with other
metals to increase its durability and to prevent damage to the
finished product. With time Sterling Silver will tarnish. Rhodium
finish or coated Sterling Silver will not react the same way.
Cared for Sterling Silver should last at least a life time.
How
to Care For Your Sterling Silver Jewellery
by
wearing your Silver you will keep it clean or at least slow the
oxidation which causes tarnishing
by
storing your pieces in the original packaging when not worn -
separated from each other to prevent scratches
by
cleaning only with good quality jewellery cloth or when necessary
with mild, not perfumed, well diluted liquid soap and very soft
face brush
Do
Not Use
Note:
use of silver dip should be reserved for old and very dirty
pieces, blackened by time and nature!
You
should remove your jewellery when
showering
swimming
(pools)
gardening
doing
house work
We
recommend that all coated or plated jewellery should be worn
separate from other pieces to prevent permanent scratches.
Note:
direct contact with chemicals, abrasives, hair sprays, perfumes
and deodorants should be avoided.
